Guide 03 · For everyone in the care circle

Understand alerts and summaries

Read possible signals with the right amount of context and uncertainty.

Step 1

An alert is a reason to check, not a fact

Alerts are designed to carry a category, timestamp, short neutral summary, and attention level. An AI-assisted interpretation of audio-derived text may misunderstand a speaker, context, or timing - or miss a concern altogether.

Step 2

See limited context

When available, a detail view may show only a minimal redacted excerpt explaining why the alert was raised. That excerpt expires within seven days. Always Near does not keep a permanent full conversation transcript in the alert feed.

Verify important information directly with the person involved or an appropriate professional before acting.

Step 3

Use summaries for patterns

Daily and weekly summaries are intended to highlight notable signals and broader patterns. They are not a complete record of a day, an all-clear, or a medical assessment. You can choose alerts only instead of summaries.

The example dashboard uses illustrative data, not actual conversations or alerts.
